Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Jay completed his Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Governance at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), graduating with distinction. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia’s Allard School of Law, where he volunteered as a clinician with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, working to advance access to justice for underserved communities.
Jay also participated in the Judicial Externship Program at the Provincial Court of British Columbia, where he supported judges on a broad range of legal matters and gained valuable insights into the judicial process. Before entering law school, Jay worked as a Property Manager for a 220-unit high-volume condominium in Toronto, where he successfully led several major operational and capital initiatives.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Jay enjoys exploring Vancouver, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with family and friends in Toronto.
