Shannon MacNamara

Lawyer

Shannon MacNamara grew up in Whistler and brings a grounded, practical perspective to her legal work. She completed her Bachelor of Management with Honours at UBC’s Okanagan campus, where she earned a place on the Dean’s Honour Roll, before gaining several years of professional experience in finance and human resources with a local business. That background gives her a strong appreciation for the real decisions clients face, whether they are managing a dispute or planning for the future.

Shannon went on to earn her Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Alberta, where she competed in two national moots and volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, supporting individuals who needed accessible legal guidance. She joined Winright Law as an articling student in 2024 and was called to the Bar in 2025. Her practice covers both litigation and solicitor work, with a focus on civil litigation, commercial disputes, estate planning, and wills. Shannon is committed to helping clients understand their options and move forward with confidence, whether they are resolving a legal dispute or putting the right plans in place for what lies ahead.

Outside the office, Shannon enjoys exploring Vancouver’s restaurants and coffee shops and taking walks along the seawall.
